Facebook Adds Free Calling For Android Messenger App Users

Make Free VoIP Calls On Android With The Soon To Be Launched Viber App

Earlier this year, the company introduced free voice calling for iPhone users, letting them use the Messenger app to call other Facebook members. The app uses smartphones’ Internet connections to make the call, either through a Wi-Fi network or over 3G or 4G networks. Now, three months after introducing the feature for iPhone users, Facebook started rolling it out to some U.S. Android users Thursday afternoon and says more users will get the feature throughout Friday.

The UC app is already available for Apple’s iPhones and iPads, which run the iOS operating system. view The new version of the app gives businesses that have cloud telefonanlage instituted bring-your-own-device (BYOD) policies a single UC solution that can run on most of the mobile devices currently being used, according to 8×8 Chairman and CTOBryan Martin. “8×8’s Virtual Office Mobile apps for Android and iOS devices offer businesses the most secure visit site and complete cloud PBX and unified communications capabilities available today for mobile devices,” Martin said in a statement. “As the BYOD phenomenon continues to grow in popularity, it’s services like Virtual Office Mobile that will enable businesses to fully embrace and benefit from this dramatic transition in the workplace.” By using Virtual Office Mobile for Android, business users can put their office extensions onto their smartphone or tablet, and conduct voice, video and conference calls over 4G and WiFi. In addition, all voicemails are displayed in a scrollable list for easier review, and users can check whether a co-worker is available, busy on a call or offline and send instant messages. Business users also can view and manage incoming and sent faxes, record calls on demand, “park” a call and pick it up on another business phone, and use such PBX features as call transfer, conference bridging and four-digit extension dialing from a corporate directory.

Essential free productivity apps for Android tablets

There was no option to update the app’s virus definitions prior to the scan, but the program claims to scan the tablet in real time. It took the app only a few seconds to back up the tablet’s 167 contacts; I didn’t test Lookout’s restore feature. Setting up the app’s Missing Device feature requires creating an account on Lookout.com, after which you can sign in to the account to locate a lost device on a map. The tablet’s location is also mapped on the Missing Device screen of the Android app. The program’s Scream feature lets you sound an alarm on the tablet to make it easier to locate; the feature works even if you’ve muted the device.
